Quick Q&A

Do you have a "quick question" regarding a breastfeeding issue or concern? This 30 minute session will allow you to get the general answers you need.  This appointment is not a consultation but will help with general questions and concerns. Example: random decrease in supply, you are unsure about the fit of your pump flange, etc.  

 

If you are experiencing issues that require an assessment (examples: gradual decrease in supply, latch, breast/nipple pain, mastitis, fussiness, etc), please book a full breastfeeding consultation.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultation

This consultation takes place during pregnancy to help prepare mom and her in-home support for the beginning of the breastfeeding journey. We will discuss 

-medical history/potential breastfeeding challenges  

-breastfeeding history 

-breastfeeding basics 

-postpartum preparation  


A questionnaire will be sent prior to the appointment and must be completed and returned to ensure an effective consultation.

Postnatal Breastfeeding Consultation

This postnatal/postpartum consultation is to troubleshoot breastfeeding issues and concerns such as low supply, breast/nipple pain, pumping, positioning/latch, engorgement, calming a fussy baby, bottle feeding, feeding multiples, weight gain, relactation, etc.   Includes 1 follow up session after consultation to ensure problems are resolved or a referral for further assessment and assistance.  A questionnaire will be sent prior to the appointment and must be completed and returned to ensure an effective consultation.

Pumping Mama Support

This 1-1 session will assist mothers with a supply checklist, as well as help choosing and using their breast pump, creating a manageable pump schedule, and appropriate milk storage solutions.  A great option for mamas returning to work from maternity leave.   


*This session is the most beneficial when booked 2 months before due date (for planned exclusive pumping); or most beneficial at least 4 weeks prior to scheduled return to work date.
